Floor Move
It was a busy day for some of the people at work last Friday. Our team has a scheduled floor move that day from the 35th to the 15th floor. But as early as the day before, some are already excited on moving to the new floor. Even if there are janitors designated to move the trolleys, some of the employees transferred their stuff to the new floor and started using the cubes.
As for me, and my co-new hires, we just moved Friday afternoon. We cherished our last day at the 35th, and the view outside the window of the 35th floor pantry.. hehe. I’m going to miss the view from there (seeing the Manila Bay from afar and the rest of the busy Ayala Ave.), the first-come, first-served seating at the floor (the main reason why I go to work early :P), since I finally have my own cube (and my trolley beside me) at the 15th, with a new Cisco IP phone (which currently does not function well), and LAN port with no one to share with!
One of the good things also, is that my other co-new hires, which are part of another team, have their cubes beside ours. At least I don’t feel much of an outcast anymore, hehe. My other teammate is still in boot camp, and my project leader is just returning from France this week, so I’m quite a loner during the previous weeks.
I feel more at home now, especially that we have a pink-colored theme for the floor.
