Someone from PLDT has finally installed today the DSL connection I applied for.
But they initially installed the package worth P999, so they had to configure it and change it to the professional one, worth 3K. I was advised by my project leader to have one installed, with a speed of 2.2 Mbps for work purposes.
The PLDT guy, told me about this site to test my connection speed.
Hopefully I’ll have it ready and configured correctly in time for the start of the real work.

After the big bad storm that hit the country yesterday, atleast we’re having a "Mooncake Festival" right now in our floor, as part of a mid-Autumn festival in Hong Kong, this month’s theme. It’s a way to get our mind off work a bit.
Yummy hopia!

Finally, my new cellphone has been delivered to our house last Saturday. I’ve been waiting for it for weeks already.
It’s a brand new Motorola V3x, a 3G phone of course. Told you I’m tired of Nokia already. Atleast it won’t be out of style for months, and it’s not that very common either.
I got frustrated last Friday for not being able to get it immediately. Someone from Globe texted me while on my way home, telling me that I was unknown my the security guard in the office so the phone was returned to them. That sucks.. But earlier that day, it was delivered to our house, but they didn’t give it to our maid since I’m not around. Good thing they redelivered it the following day.
Funny thing, Monday came and another cellphone delivery came at the office. Another phone?! I think there has been some misunderstanding on Globe’s part because they released two phones for me. I just informed the delivery guy that I already received my phone the past weekend.
But a problem regarding the SIM card occurred. After three days since my phone was delivered, the SIM has not been registered yet. I’ve been calling Globe hotline and Globe Solutions to help me with my problem. It was on the third day that it was resolved, thur the SIM’s serial number. It so happens that the SIM assigned to me was actually included in the cellphone kit delivered at the office the past Monday, and the SIM has been activated since Friday. Waahhh!!!
Good thing that Globe sent another delivery to me at lunch time the third day, but this time the SIM card originally assigned to me was swapped with the SIM card first delivered to me.
Now, I’m in business.. hehe.

Our favorite Japanese-Filipino scholar at Pinoy Dream Academy, Jun Hirano, has finally left the academy yesterday..
The past week has been pretty emotional whenever my sister and I watch Pinoy Dream Academy. Jun Hirano has become one of our favorites, endeared by his antics and charm.
We also admire his friendship with co-scholars, Eman and Jay-R. They seem to be having fun with each other’s company, telling jokes every now and then and make "kulitan" with each other. They even refer to each other as "3 siraulo", hehehe.
Eman and Jun composed a song entitled "Arigato Tomodachi", which they sang last Saturday. The song became heartfelt even if most of it is in Japanese language, because of Jun’s farewell the next day.
For sure, we’ll miss Jun and his funny antics. Good luck to his career in Japan..

I’m slowly feeling the stress and pressure of going to and coming from work. For this week, I’ve been feeling so tired and worn out whenever I get home at night. The travel beats me up quite badly..
The travel going to work is not much of a problem, since I take a shuttle (which are actually colorum). But the long queue in the shuttle terminal especially Tuesdays is very stressful. Worst case, you have to wait for 45 minutes for the next shuttle going to Ayala to arrive. Such a waste of time.. if only I wasn’t thinking of my safety going to work. So I’m obliged to be at the terminal approximately 2 hours before my target work time. So I can’t help sleeping on the shuttle on the way to work..
Going home is very tiring as well. Taking a jeep just going to the MRT Ayala station is difficult especially during rush hour. A lot of commuters are definitely going to be competiton as far as securing a ride is concerned. When you get to the MRT station, the very long queue at the ticket booths and bag inspection area before getting inside will really test your patience. And the worst of it all, the jam-packed train is such a challenge. I really try to position myself in the train where I think I won’t be squeezed very much. And ever since I started working in Makati, I never get to sit ever inside the MRT.
So when I get home, I’m so exhausted already.. I only wish it would get better.. Anyways, a few more weeks and hopefully the change in my work schedule would improve my travel a lot. *sigh*

Perfect love is not receiving…it’s giving and forgiving… Perfect love is not red roses on Valentine’s Day… it’s the rest of the 364 days of knowing you love someone… Perfect love is not phone calls and stolen kisses… it’s the silent smiles in memory of your sweetheart… Perfect love is not grand wedding… but spending a lifetime together… Perfect love is not fight-kiss-and-make-up… it’s loving the one who annoys the hell out of you…
Happy 13th Monthsary My Angel! I Love You!

Just downloaded earlier this week the full album of "Kami nAPO Muna", an album tribute to the APO Hiking Society, performed by the country’s top local alternative bands and artists today. And one of my favorites is "Anna", performed by Top Suzara. Enjoy!

Kami nAPO Muna
I long to tell you
How much I need you
If I could find the words to say
I’d never have to feel this way
Not knowin’ just what to do when I’m with you
My friends, they tell me
That I could shouldn’t hurry
Yet this feelin’ keep goin’ strong
‘Cause you keep it goin’ on
Though I have to say how much I love you
Chorus:
(Oh) Anna, can’t you tell me and see
What you’re doin to me
Oh, Anna, this feelin’ I just can’t hide
Keeps drivin’ me wild
Oh Anna, I need you here with me
I wish it could be.
Oh Anna, won’t you stay with me?
(Ohh!)
Your eyes they look through me
Your smile, they did push me
I’ve never thought I’d love again
But this time I hope it never ends
I have to tell you know how I love you.
(Repeat Chorus 2x
Oh, Anna
(Repeat Chorus)

This is something nice to ponder on… Thanks Colleen!
After Sept. 11th, one company invited the remaining members of other companies who had been decimated by the attack on the Twin Towers to share their available office space.
At a morning meeting, the head of security told stories of why these people were alive… and all the stories were just: The ‘L I T T L E’ things.
As you might know, the head of the company got in late that day because his son started kindergarten. Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts. One woman was late because her alarm clock didn’t go off in time. One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike because of an auto accident. One of them missed his bus. One spilled food on her clothes and had to take time to change. One’s car wouldn’t start. One went back to answer the telephone. One had a child that dawdled and didn’t get ready as soon as he should have. One couldn’t get a taxi. The one that struck me was the man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning, took the various means to get to work but before he got there, he developed a blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid. That is why he is alive today.
Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn back to answer a ringing telephone … all the little things that annoy me. I think to myself, this is exactly where God wants me to be at this very moment. Next time your morning seems to be going wrong, the children are slow getting dressed, you can’t seem to find the car keys, you hit every traffic light, don’t get mad or frustrated; God is at work watching over you. May God continue to bless you with all those annoying little things and may you remember their possible purpose.
Pass this on to someone else, if you’d like. There is NO LUCK attached.
If you delete this, it’s okay… : )

It was a busy day for some of the people at work last Friday. Our team has a scheduled floor move that day from the 35th to the 15th floor. But as early as the day before, some are already excited on moving to the new floor. Even if there are janitors designated to move the trolleys, some of the employees transferred their stuff to the new floor and started using the cubes.
As for me, and my co-new hires, we just moved Friday afternoon. We cherished our last day at the 35th, and the view outside the window of the 35th floor pantry.. hehe. I’m going to miss the view from there (seeing the Manila Bay from afar and the rest of the busy Ayala Ave.), the first-come, first-served seating at the floor (the main reason why I go to work early :P), since I finally have my own cube (and my trolley beside me) at the 15th, with a new Cisco IP phone (which currently does not function well), and LAN port with no one to share with!
One of the good things also, is that my other co-new hires, which are part of another team, have their cubes beside ours. At least I don’t feel much of an outcast anymore, hehe. My other teammate is still in boot camp, and my project leader is just returning from France this week, so I’m quite a loner during the previous weeks.
I feel more at home now, especially that we have a pink-colored theme for the floor.

Last weekend, together with my family, we attended to two occasions. One was a despedida of my godmother’s mom, while one was a birthday celebration of my parents’ friend.
After attending the usual Sunday mass, we headed straight to Bulacan, at the house of my godmother (my mom’s best friend). We ate lunch there and stayed until about 2PM. After we ate, we did some cam-whoring (sorry for the term, hehe) to kill the time.
The weather was so unpredictable. It was very sunny when we came there, but when we were about to leave, there was a moment of downpour. We were all exhausted as we left the house.
Second stop, Caloocan. We went to the house of my parents’ friend. The first thing we saw in their garage is a videoke machine, with all the other guests busy doing their thing. Since we just ate, we decided to join the other guests by the videoke machine after greeting the birthday celebrant. Little did we know that this will signify the beginning of our videoke marathon! Hehe..
My sisters and I took turns in singing.. and my dad joined us after a few rounds. I think I was able to sing 5 songs in total. At around 5PM, we started to feel hungry. So we turned over the microphones to the other guests, hehe. That’s when we ate dinner, buffet style. Actually, I didn’t eat that much since I’m still quite full. After dinner, we rested for a while and bid goodbye to the kind hosts.
I think all the energy we gained in eating were used up when we did our weekly grocery at SM Fairview. The place was so crowded! I think they had a 3-day sale or something.
That’s it for our jam-packed weekend.:)
