The ninth installment of The Amazing Race will finally premiere tomorrow! Can’t wait!
After a "family edition" season 8 that many fans found disappointing, three-time Emmy Award-Winner The Amazing Race returns to its international format, two-person team for its ninth season, scheduled to be aired live via satellite on Studio 23 this Wednesday, March 1. This live satellite airing of The Amazing Race 9 will premiere with a special 2-hour telecast of the first episode at 10 AM.
A primetime airing will follow the same evening, starting at 7:30. Subsequent episodes will follow the same schedule, with a live airing at 10 AM and a primetime airing at 7:30 PM.
The premiere episode, titled "Here We Go, Baby, Off To Win A Million Dollars," kicks off another globe-trotting tour that is set to cover five continents, with stops in the Middle East, Moscow and Sicily, to name a few. The 11 teams, including a Pizza Hut manager, a dentist, a science teacher, a children’s minister, a retired physician and a valet, will compete against one another in a race around the world for a $1 million prize. Phil Keoghan returns as the series’ host.

Another nice song with a catchy tune from the Backstreet Boys from their latest album, "Never Gone". One of my current faves.. Enjoy!
Climbing The Walls
Backstreet Boys
Close your eyes, make a wish
That this could last forever
If only you could stay with me now
So tell me what it is
That keeps us from each other now
Yeah it’s coming to get me
You’re under my skin
No I can’t let you go
You’re a part of me now
Caught by the taste of your kiss
And I don’t wanna know
The reason why I
Can’t stay forever like this
Now I’m climbing the walls cause I miss you
Take my hand, take my life
Just don’t take forever
And let me feel your pain kept inside (oh yeah)
There’s gotta be a way
For you and I together now
Yeah it’s coming to get me
You’re under my skin
No I can’t let you go
You’re a part of me now
Caught by the taste of your kiss (ohh)
And I don’t wanna know
The reason why I
Can’t stay forever like this
Now I’m climbing the walls cause I miss you
It’s an illusion
How can I feel this way?
If I can’t have you
It’s an illusion
Nothing is real this way
If I can’t have you
No I can’t let you go
You’re a part of me now (now)
Caught by the taste of your kiss (I don’t wanna know)
And I don’t wanna know
The reason why I
Can’t stay forever like this (I’m climbing the walls)
Now I’m climbing the walls cause I miss
Ohhhh
I can’t let you go no
And I don’t wanna know
The reason why I
Can’t stay forever like this (ohh ohh)
Now I’m climbing the walls cause I miss (I miss) you

I just finished my "Jewel in the Palace" marathon today, hehe.. and it’s worth it. Really nice story and ending..
I’m looking forward to our Baguio trip this weekend with my family for the "Panagbenga 2006", especially the flower parade. I’m gonna file for vacation leave again, hopefully my teammates would cover for the shifts I’ll be gone.. Too bad my boyfriend won’t be able to come with us..
I’ve been quite worried about my pending projects though. I hope I could finish them despite my leave..

We watched "Close To You" as our monthsary and post-Valentine date last week. Though I was not feeling very well at that time, I decided that we push it through since we were not able to go out for quite sometime already. And I’d really like to see Sam Milby in the movie.. *blush*
Here’ s the synopsis and movie of that "kilig" movie this Valentine season.. :p
Manuel and Marian have been best friends since childhood, but there’s once secret Marian isn’t privy to: Manuel is in love with her. Trouble is, Marian has her eyes on Lance, a gradeschool classmate who has since migrated to the U.S. where he is the lead of a pop band. When Lance and his band comes to the Philippines, Marian tails him everywhere and Manuel tags along. Until when can he keep his secret?
CTC Movie Review: Star Cinema’s Valentine offering for 2006 is easy to put down as the most predictable, hackneyed and unexciting story that could be cooked up for the season. But then Close to You astounds on many planes, a cinematic feat for its pleasant simplicity, hilarity and honesty. The I’m-in-love-with-my-best-friend angle was not treated like it’s another adolescent dilemma but an relationship that’s as close to real life as it gets. Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz as Marian and Palits, respectively, take on their roles like a second skin, playing best friends who grew up together and have been through thick and thin. The good-natured teasing from his end and the affected-but-not-insulted reaction from hers make for amusing repartee, which gives way to the hurts and tears in the most natural, unmanipulative way. Rather, one would feel like he/she is in the presence of the two best friends–or even in the shoes of either. Among the many revelations is Sam Milby whose onscreen debut is laudable. The guy can undoubtedly act. He even turns in a more convincing performance than the celebrated young actor who topbills another local Valentine movie. Cathy Garcia-Molina has a deft hand that renders a movie light and breezy, yet surprisingly involving, as when a tear escapes from Cruz’s eye while sprawled in bed and Alonzo prattles on about her dream guy Lance. The director’s camera skills combines with her ear for dialogue, for which the screenwriters have to be thanked. Being a romantic comedy, Close to You knows how not to be cloyingly sweet or annoying to the point of gagging. You may laugh and you may cry, and you are surprised by how a movie so simple can do both. Then you remember that sometimes, less is indeed more.

The secret of life isn’t just to live, but to have something worthwhile to live for. We only love once, but if we love right, one lifetime is enough..
And each passing minute, hour, or day makes it worthwhile..
Happy 6th Monthsary my Angel! I love you!

My sister, Jezzy, (who’s next to me) celebrates her 17th birthday tomorrow. Part of our gift to her is giving her bus fare and letting her go home from Baguio to celebrate her special day with us, and have a vacation over the weekend as well.
My dad already fetched her from the bus terminal tonight. Our family, together with my boyfriend, is planned to have dinner tomorrow at home, and invite a few of our relatives over. We plan to buy a cake and some ice cream, too. At night, we’ll be attending an anticipated mass instead of going to church on Sunday, so my sister could give thanks for her birthday at the same time. I already bought a gift for my sister but I’d be giving it to her tomorrow.
Happy Birthday Jez! Have fun!

Another family movie night, this time enjoying "Zathura" at Blue Wave Marquinton..
Danny and Walter, 6 and 10 respectively, chance upon a metal board game called Zathura. Walter refuses to play, so Danny goes it alone. But before they know it, meteors hurtle along and they are plunged into space along with their house! The two boys can only return to firm ground if they finish the game.
CTC Movie Review: From the creator of Jumanji comes another from the same mold of children’s books-turned-movies. Zathura shares the same premise as Jumanji, where kids discover a tattered old board game and discover that a game can impact their lives so. However, while Jumanji was earthbound, Zathura is a heady outer space trip that is filled with meteors, black holes, and alien lizard monsters. Walter and Danny bicker no end, the older bullying the other, who ends up in the dumbwaiter that plunges to the basement where he finds the game Zathura. He plays alone, but before long, his older brother has no choice but to take his turn, since the only way to return to solid ground is to finish the game. There’s no explanation as to why Zathura, a board made of tin can with two space shuttles as game pieces, zaps the whole house to the great beyond except that the kids seem to really need the journey to make them remember they’re brothers. There are exciting effects and some scares, plus the couple of adults in the cast, Tim Robbins as the patient father and Dax Shepard as the astronaut who helps out, don’t undermine the kids’ abilities. A spectacular breadth of imagination is evident, an infectious one that will make you want to have a go at the game if it affords you a free sojourn into space (which would otherwise cost millions of dollars), where you can battle Zorgons (Godzilla-like aliens whose sustenance is meat and anything that emits heat), rescue a cute astronaut, wish on a shooting star that passes so close it could blind you, and rediscover kinship besides.
Comments: At first, I thought it’s just a Jumanji clone. Well, quite right. Having the same concept of bringing a game to life and never ending it until someone wins, it’s quite predictable. But what’s in store while the game progresses is what makes it different and to watch out for. It will keep you entertained until the end of the movie. By the way, I like the performance of the kids here, especially "Danny", so cute! A feel-good-movie for the whole family.

The twelfth installment of the reality TV show, Survivor, aired its premier telecast via satellite yesterday afternoon at 2PM. Good thing I was able to wake up from slumber (due to night shift sked). Read on..
The Show
"Survivor: Panama — Exile Island," which launches Feb. 2 at 8 p.m. (Feb. 3 at 2 pm Manila Telecast), will kick off for the first time with four tribes, divided by age and gender.
The show’s older men, older women, younger men and younger women will go toe-to-toe for at least the first week of the competish. The four tribes then will reform into two in the second episode.
In the edition’s other spin, one castaway each week will be banished alone to a separate island, where they’ll have a shot at actually prolonging their stay on the show by finding a hidden "immunity idol."
Airs every Friday at 2PM , via satellite on Studio 23, and its primetime telecast is every Saturday 7:20PM.
Now, I have something to watch out for again, hehe..
