At the struck of twelve midnight tomorrow, as the whole world celebrates the brand new year, 2006, I’ll be turning 23 at the same time..
For the past 22 years, I’ve been celebrating my birthday with a bang (well, lots of it actually). And I’m pretty blessed that I get to have a birthday every year as such, with the rest of the people celebrating as well. Cool huh?
I’m quite optimistic about the coming year. Well, for one, 2006 is the Year of the Dog (which is my fave, makes sense huh? :p). This year has been memorable for me in a lot of ways. A lot of changes in my life (and family’s as well) has happened. But despite of all of these, I’m thankful that we’re all together, stronger as ever.
And of course, I found myself in the arms of the one I love.. (naks!)
My birthday wish? Not much really. I’m contented already with the blessings that God has given me. Though I would like to start thinking about what lies ahead. There are plans, that I might go out of the country so I could earn, and also help my family. I also like to travel. But then, I would just have to accept what He has planned for me and what He shall give me.
All in all, I already feel blessed and have a lot of things to thank for, not just this year but for the past 22 years of my life..

Here’s a very nice and romantic song oftenly mistaken to be sung by "Freestyle" (even me), hehe. I had a hard time looking for this one. Anyways, here it is. Enjoy!
You Are The One
Serendipity
Another day passes by and I’m dreaming of you
And though I know it might be just a dream, dreams do come true
Somewhere, somehow I’ll find you
Even though it takes all of my life (All of my life, yeah)
And when I’ll finally do (And when I’ll finally do)
I know inside my heart (I know inside my heart)
That there could be no doubt, I knew it from the start
Chorus:
(You are the one) You are the one
That I’ve been searching for my whole life through
(You are the one) You are the one
That I’ve been looking for and now that I found you
I’ll never let you go, I’ll hold you in my arms
Cause you are the one
Yeah…
Another night spent alone I’m lying in the dark (Lying in the dark)
Don’t know your name but I know that your voice sings to my heart
A sweet melody, A symphony of love
I know that come one day (I know that come one day)
A time for you and me (A time for you and me)
To finally meet together, Coz I know we’re meant to be
(CHORUS)
Forever’s a meaningless word if you’re not here with meHere by my side and here in my arms…
(Chorus)

It’s Christmas Eve, and I’m about to go home from my shift in less than an hour. Good thing, I will be able to spend Christmas with my family and boyfriend..
Christmas these past few years have been very different from what I had during my childhood and teenage days (I’m not that old huh!). Well, the very obvious one is the increasing expenses for buying Christmas gifts! Before, I only had to buy for my mom and dad, my sisters and grandparents. Now, I have to buy for a number of my godchildren and I’m the one giving presents to my godparents as well. Even in the office, I also give some to my officemates, and my boyfriend of course. Though it’s quite heavy on the budget (waaah!!) But atleast, I was able to make some people happy by the act of giving..
Indeed, Christmas is really for children. (One reason is that they are the ones who enjoy it the most, hehe.) But most importantly, it’s the time for giving and sharing blessings to our loved ones. And even to the less fortunate people we do not know. But let’s not forget that it’s not only during Christmas that we should give gifts or share our blessings. The true essence of the Holiday Season is not measured through gifts or the amount of money spent on food or clothing, but the celebration of the birth of Jesus.. So let us try to make everyday feel like Christmas..
Have a Merry Christmas to all and enjoy the Holidays!

Today, my boyfriend celebrates his 23rd birthday. We plan to eat dinner at our house later when he fetches me after work.
I haven’t seen him yet today, and my birthday gift for him will be quite delayed. Nevertheless, I hope he’s happy today. And hope he’ll continue to be sweet, caring and loving as he is. I thank God that He has given him to me, because I can’t imagine life to be better than what it is right now.
To my angel, happy birthday! I love you!

Christmas is only a few days away, and it’s definitely in the air. Uh-oh.. I’m not done yet with my Christmas shopping though. I still have to buy gifts for some of my godparents, as well as my sisters and parents. I haven’t got a Christmas and a birthday gift yet for my boyfriend..
Hopefully I could drop by the mall tomorrow for that.. And I hope I still have enough budget.. Hehe.

Don’t be afraid to put your trust to someone who you will love completely. Because not all fears are right and love doesn’t always end in pain. Who knows? The one you’ve been waiting for has always been with you..
For me, it has.
Happy 4th monthsary my angel.. I love you!

The Backstreet Boys continues to give more mature songs (but still with a mix of boyband) in another song from their latest album,"Never Gone".. Enjoy!
I Still…
Backstreet Boys
Who are you now?
Are you still the same
Or did you change somehow?
What do you do
At this very moment when I think of you?
And when I’m looking back
How we were young and stupid
Do you remember that?
No matter how I fight it
Can’t deny it
Just can’t let you go
I still need you
I still care about you
Though everything’s been said and done
I still feel you
Like I’m right beside you
But still no word from you
Now look at me
Instead of moving on, I refuse to see
That I keep coming back
Yeah I’m stuck in a moment
That wasn’t meant to last (to last)
I’ve tried to fight it
Can’t deny it
You don’t even know
That I still need you
I still care about you
Though everything’s been said and done
I still feel you
Like I’m right beside you
But still no word from you
Ohhhh
Wish I could find you
Just like you found me
Then I would never let you go (without you)
Though everything’s been said and done (yeah)
I still feel you (I still feel you)
Like I’m right beside you (like I’m right beside you)
But still no (still no word) word from you

This year’s Trend Micro Paramount and Christmas Party was held last Saturday at Crowne Plaza Hotel..
It was a busy but fun day as well. A shuttle bus fetched us from the office and took us at the venue at around 1245pm, though the driver seemed not to know exactly where to drop us off. But after giving some directions, we reached Crowne nevertheless just in time for the start of Paramount. Since I haven’t had lunch yet, Aivee, Fatz and I hurried to Robinson’s Galleria to buy some food and ate it along the way back to the hotel, since taking in food inside was prohibited.
The Paramount, is actually an event where the company’s executives discuss their plans for the year ahead, and give out tokens and awards to employees as well. The program proper took the whole afternoon until about 6pm. And the two hours after that was spent at the hotel room we checked in to get dressed and groom oursleves for the Red Carpet-themed Christmas Party, where we dressed up in our gowns.
After grooming, we headed to the Grand Ballroom to have our dinner (which was a buffet style one, by the way) but we did not like at all, and watch the program at the same time. We were preoccupied with the thought of having The Big Night of Pinoy Big Brother being aired on TV at the same time so we keep on going back to the hotel room and watch, while having pictures taken during our free time, hehe.
Our fashion police duties were also done during th event itself, instead of the expected start of the party, since all the fashion police are also busy grooming.. :p
The good thing also about the event, though I missed a lot of the program, was having won a Trend Micro reversible jacket at the raffle. Hehe..
We were not able to finish the whole party (too bad, Session Road actually performed) since it was late already and we still have to go back to the office (I have to log out for record purposes). I have to go home also and get some sleep because our family will be going to Divisoria at 6AM the next day. Good thing my boyfriend, Angelo, fetched me in the office even if we arrived at past 1AM already. I got home and get to sleep at around 2AM.
Overall, it was a fun night, and we seldom see ourselve dressed formally. Plus getting some time off from work and just enjoy the day is a nice experience after all.. Atleast I was able to take part of it. For who knows, it might be the last time I’d be able to take part of it..

Miss World is about to get started, and the question that won’t shut is: Who will succeed Maria Julia Mantilla?
Some of the world’s greatest pageant experts and followers give their opinion throughout the 4 weeks of competition, and they have already named Miss Philippines as one who is very promising, even before they land in Sanya.
Carlene Aguilar, Miss Philippines, is a pageant veteran whose beauty and massive fan support put her right on the top of the Asian Pacific list, being a #1 favorite for one of two spots reserved for this region.
It’s early to say, but right now the pressure is on Miss Philippines’ shoulders. This stunner will arrive in China as ‘the one to beat’. Her challenge will be to live up to the expectations fans all over the world are putting on her.
The Philippines has won several international titles this year, including Miss International and Miss Italia nel Mondo. Carlene wants to make sure she is no exception.
Second in the list would be Miss Italy, followed by Namibia, Canada and Spain.
Although it is early and so much is still ahead, it’s good to remind you that in the last couple of years our experts’ picks actually won the title: Ireland in 2003 and Peru in 2004.
But the pageant has not started, and we are sure that the rest of the girls, all beautiful, charming and intelligent, have their own surprises to pull and one of them might be crowned the new Miss World. We shall see.
As for now, we wish the best of luck to all, because the party is about to begin!
Thanks to GlobalBeauties.com for this excerpt.
Find out who wins the Miss World Pageant two days from now, slated to happen on Deecmber 10!

Our company Christmas party is coming nearer, slated to happen this Saturday at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ortigas. It’s a Red Carpet-themed party, so everyone’s expected to be dressed up glamorously..
This year, I’m a member of the Christmas Party Committee as well. And assigned to be one of the "fashion police" on the event itself, taking pictures for those nominees for the Best Dressed award, and setting an example at the same time. Talk about being a role model at the same time..
I already have in mind what I’m gonna wear for the event, but it was only today that I really started preparing for it. I’ve been wearing gowns in different occasions since I was a kid, so it’s no big deal for me wearing one.
For modern gowns, corsette styles are definitely in, so that’s what I’m gonna be wearing. I worn one already with that same style during my bridesmaid stint for my uncle’s wedding. Their motif color was orange and when I look at the pictures, it obviously shows I gained some weight. So I decided to wear a darker shade this time. Hehe..
I might also be wearing stiletto heels and a little silver jewelry to match it. As for the make-up and hairstyle, I’m not sure about that yet, but I might bring a curling iron and some make-up, for sure. Worst case, we might run off to the salon for a light make-up. But then, we’re only given an hour to dress up, since the party will be held right after the Paramount, which is sort of a company meeting with all the executives and employees attending. Good thing our team would be checking in at the hotel and dress up in a room, instead of queueing at the dressing room, where all the rest of the female employees would be using to dress up, for sure..
I still have 5 more days before the event and still a lot more to arrange. I hope all goes well that night. Who knows, it might be the last Christmas Party of the company I’m gonna attend..
