We spent the weekend until Monday by going to Baguio for a short vacation, together with my family and boyfriend..
Still not fully well from my oral surgery, we still manage to finally push through our travel plans to got to Baguio last Saturday. What makes this vacation different from the previous ones is that my boyfriend is coming along with us. And it will be his first time to go to the City of Pines.
We left at home about 6am and reached NLEX at around 730 to 8am, waiting for the other members of the organization my parents belong to (M.E.). I think we left at around 830am and went to a house of another member, where we ate breakfast together with the rest of the participants. After the breakfast, we finally hit the road.
We made a few stopovers at Plaza Luisita Mall in Tarlac and in some gasoline stations, and had breakfast at an eatery in Pangasinan. At first, I thought we’re heading to Baguio that day but we first went to Bolinao, Pangasinan, to check out a resort where the M.E. members would possibly spend their next weekend seminar. When we got there about 330pm, we found out that the place is quite expensive to rent, so we left the place and started heading to Dagupan instead, to fetch my sister and her roommate.
It’s already 7pm when we were able to fetch my sister. We’re already hungry so the group headed to Plato Wraps restaurant where we ate dinner. One of the members brought crabs, to the delight of the other members. I wasn’t able to eat some because of my aching tooth and difficulty in eating. After the dinner, we finally headed to Baguio.
We reached Baguio at around 1030pm already, and we were all so exhausted and tired. It was freezing cold outside. The other members tried to find a place to stay, while our family headed to my sister’s boarding house. We fix ourselves and got to sleep at around past midnight.
The next day is much fun compared to the previous day. We had breakfast and get ready to tour around. We first went to church, then bought "pasalubong" in La Trinidad Strawberry Farm. Then we had lunch, and went to Burnham Park to check out the "ukay-ukay". We also went to SM Baguio and did some shopping and grocery. Then we went back to the boarding house where we rested for a while before we joined the rest of the M.E. members in a nice dinner of roast beef and big shrimps, hehe.
We also checked out the busy street of Session Road, where loads of items can be bought at a cheap price (just like the "tiangges"). I managed to buy myself a shawl, a belt and a pair of jogging pants for a total of 200 pesos.
We ended the day watching PBB at the boarding house before snoozing.
Our last day in Baguio, we went again to Burnham Park for some picture-taking and a little stroll, before finally going home aroung 1030am. I slept a little along the way and also ate a little. I chatted and joked around with my sisters and boyfriend to kill the time. We made a few stopovers at gasoline stations again and drive-thru in Jollibee Philcoa and got home at around 530pm.
It was a very tiring journey, especially the first day, but we had fun. Though it was quite "bitin" for me. Hehe.. I hope we’ll be able to go back during the Flower Festival (Panagbenga) in February next year. Until then..

This has been one of my favorite songs and Stacie Orrico has been one of my fave singers. I used to play this song over and over before when it first came out. I even included it as one of the songs i my souvenir CD during my graduation celebration. Hehe.. Enjoy!
I Promise
Stacie Orrico
Will I always be there for you?
When you need someone, will I be that one you need?
Will I do all my best to, to protect you?
When the tears get near your eyes
Will I be the one that’s by your side?
Will I be there when you call me in the middle of the night?
Will I keep the rain from falling down into your life?
I promise, I promise
I promise I will
Will I take tender tender care of you?
Take your darkest night and make it bright for you
Will I be there to make you strong and to lean on?
When this world has turned so cold
Will I be the one that’s there to hold?
Will I be there when you call me in the middle of the night?
Will I keep the rain from falling down into your life?
I promise, I promise
I promise I will
Will I be there when you call me in the middle of the night?
Will I keep the rain from falling down into your life?
I promise, I promise
I promise I will
Yeah
And I love you more every day
And nothing will take that love away
When you need someone
I promise I’ll be there for you (there for you)
I promise
Will I be there when you call me in the middle of the night?
Will I keep the rain from falling down into your life?
I promise, I promise
I promise I will
And I promise (and I promise)
I promise (oh I promise you)
I will be there when you call me (when you call me)
I promise (I promise)
I promise I will

This is the second day of my leave from work and yet, I’m bored already..
I have to wait for a few more days before we could finally go to Baguio for our vcation. But right now, I have no choice but to stay at home and rest until I get better from my oral surgery (details in my other blog).
I already finished rereading HP Book 5 and I’m rereading HP Book 4 again. I just hope I could get out of the house and go to the mall instead, but considering my present situation, that’s impossible right now. So I just have to do something else, I suppose..
How I miss going out, I miss eating anything I like, I miss my boyfriend, I miss (gasp!) going to work somehow.. A few more days to go, I hope..

If you see me walking the road with someone else
It’s not because I like his company
It’s because you’re not brave enough to walk beside me.
If you hear me talking about him all the time
Its not because he pleases me
Its because you’re too deaf to hear my heartbeat
If you feel me falling with someone new
It’s not because I love him
It’s because you’re not there to catch me if I fall
If you feel lost, I too am nowhere
I too don’t know where the road is going
Are we gonna cross each other’s path
Or just completely turn around?
Will we just let go of what we had
Or go to the place where love is bound
Don’t let me walk with him
It’s you I want to walk with
Don’t let me talk of him
It’s you I want to talk with
Don’t let me fall for him
It’s you I want to fall in love with.
When you thought I wasn’t brave enough to walk beside you
I was behind you every step of the way
Still filled with awe because of the beauty that stands before me
When you thought I was too deaf to hear your heartbeat
I didn’t want to assume anything
And I was afraid to lose our friendship
When you thought I wasn’t there to catch you
It was because you never gave me the chance
You never reached the bottom, you’ve already grabbed a branch
If you feel like you are nowhere, I too am lost
I too don’t know where the road is going
Are we just going to turn around,
Or are we gonna cross each other’s path?
Will we just let go of what we had
Or go to the place where love is bound?
Don’t let me walk alone
I want to walk by your side
Don’t let me talk of something else
It’s you I want to talk with
Don’t let me fall for someone else
It’s you I want to fall in love with.
"There are some people who meet that somebody that they can never stop loving, no matter how hard they try. I wouldn’t expect you to understand that, or even believe it, but trust me, there are some love that don’t go away. And maybe that makes them crazy, but we should all be lucky to end up with that somebody who has a little of that insanity. Somebody who never lets go. Somebody who cherishes you forever."

Finally, the most anticipated movie of the year is showing on Philippine cinemas. And together with my boyfreind, we watched it during the first day of showing yesterday and at the first showing time of course!
Harry is now 14 and is looking forward to watching the Quidditch World Cup with Ron and Hermione. In their fourth year at Hogwarts, Dumbledore announces that the school is hosting the Triwizard Tournament that was last mounted over a century ago. The dangerous tourney, traditionally engaged in by three European wizarding schools, entails three tasks that must be completed by its players who need to be 17 and above and are chosen by the goblet of fire. To Harry’s surprise, he–who is three years below the age requirement–is to compete against Cedric Diggory who is also from Hogwarts, Beauxbatons’ Fleur Delacour, and Durmstrang’s Quidditch superstar Viktor Krum. There is no backing out of the tournament for the goblet’s choice is binding. Meanwhile, the Dark Mark hovers on the horizon as the Death Eaters conjure it with their growing strength. Which will prove harder for the young hero: conquering the tasks, finding a date to the Yule Ball, or battling Voldemort incarnate?
CTC Movie Review: Few books translate well into film. The Lord of the Rings accomplished a three-peat, surpassing itself with every installment that director Peter Jackson churned out. While the Harry Potter films are surefire winners at the tills, they are less critically acclaimed than the aforementioned trilogy. The first two in the franchise by the same director, Christopher Columbus, were generally appreciated for their faithful adaptation of the well-loved books. Seeing the characters come alive onscreen felt nothing but novel, given that it’s the first time. The second effort was a little less likable, but still acceptable. The third, directed by Alfonso Cuaron, was a little darker and decidedly better than the ones that preceded it. They say it’s sweeter the second time around and third time’s the charm, but for Harry Potter, the fourth proves to be arguably the best yet. Now with a Brit director at the helm, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire soars to new heights that none of its predecessors ever reached. Perhaps something is really best entrusted to its own people. Director Mike Newell’s treatment of the text is such that although one has already read it, there is no escape from the suspense. It is a marvel how a 728-page book had been rendered in film without losing its core. While some elements had obviously been snipped–such as the Dursleys, Privet Drive, Dobby the house elf–the final output is still a compact package of thrills and cheers. The familiar characters have visibly grown, not just physically but unto themselves. The danger for the actors is being typecast, but to remove them from the latter movies sure to come may prove discomfiting to viewers. But whether or not Radcliffe, Watson and Grint would be around for the last three installments, it can be said that these three filled the shoes of Harry, Hermione and Ron with aplomb. Stripped of the CGI, Goblet of Fire would still stand as magnificently as it does with it. There is no letup on the magic, and well exceeds expectations–a feat, considering the magnitude of those expectations. J.K. Rowling must be mighty proud.
Comments: Definitely better than the last movie (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban). With a new director, in the person of Mike Newell, who I think is better than Alfonso Cuaron. But how I wish they’d just bring back Christopher Columbus to direct it. HP Movies 1 and 2 are nicely done compared to the last 2 movies.
Quite disappointing if you were able to read HP Book 4 (which is my fave HP book, by the way), because a lot of scenes have been edited out, and making the movie fit in just 2 and a half hours. They should have made it 3 hours.. Oh well.. But I enjoyed the movie nonetheless. And I’d like to watch it again..
‘Til next HP movie!!

Loving relationship is a choice partnership… Loving someone in which even imperpection is seen as possibilty and, therefore, a thing of beauty; where discovery, struggle and acceptance are the basis of continued growth and wonderment… It also one in which one can be open and honest with one another without the fear of being judged. It’s being secure in the knowlegde that you are each other’s best friend and no matter what happens you will stand by one another… It neither exploits nor takes the other for granted. It involves much communication, much sharing, and much tenderness…
Happy 3rd Monthsary my angel.. I love you!

After finishing HP Book 6 in just 4 days, I decided to re-read HP Book 5 and 4. This is to refresh my memory about the story, since there was quite a long interval since I last read those books before HP Book 6 came out. And definitely I was able to fully understand and remember the events in the story..
And with the 4th installment of the Harry Potter movie coming out this coming week, the Harry Potter mania is here again.. hehe. Can’t wait until Wednesday for the movie.. hopefully I’ll be able to watch on the first day of showing (which I usually do since the first HP movie). A few more days..

A cute song from Craig David, which I think I can relate to. :p The message is very common for relationships, I guess.. Enjoy!
Don’t Love You No More (I’m Sorry)
Craig David
[VERSE 1]
For all the years that I’ve known you baby
I can’t figure out the reason why lately you’ve been acting so cold
(didn’t you say)
If there’s a problem we should work it out
So why you giving me the cold shoulder now
Like you don’t even wanna talk to me girl
(tell me)
Ok I know I was late again
I made you mad and then it’s throwing the pan
But why are you making this drag on so long
(i wanna know)
I’m sick and tired of this silly games
(silly games)
Don’t figure that I’m the only one here to blame
It’s not me here who’s been going round slamming doors
That’s when you turned and said to me
I don’t care babe who’s right or wrong
I just don’t love you no more.
[CHORUS]
Rain outside my window pouring down
What now, you’re gone, my fault, I’m sorry
Feeling like a fool cause I let you down
Now it’s, too late, to turn it around
I’m sorry for the tears I made you cry
I guess this time it really is goodbye
You made it clear when you said
I just don’t love you no more
[VERSE 2]
I know that I made a few mistakes
But never thought that things would turn out this way
Cause I’m missing something now that your gone
(I see it all so clearly)
Me at the door with you inner state
(inner state)
Giving my reasons but as you look away
I can see a tear roll down your face
That’s when you turned and said to me
I don’t care babe who’s right or wrong
I just don’t love you no more.
[CHORUS]
Rain outside my window pouring down
What now, you’re gone, my fault, I’m sorry
Feeling like a fool cause I let you down
Now it’s, too late, to turn it around
I’m sorry for the tears I made you cry
I guess this time it really is goodbye
You made it clear when you said
I just don’t love you no more
[BRIDGE]
Don’t say those words it’s so hard
They turn my whole world upside down
Girl you caught me completely off guard
On the night you said to me
I just don’t love you more.
[CHORUS 2X]
Rain outside my window pouring down
What now, you’re gone, my fault, I’m sorry
Feeling like a fool cause I let you down
Now it’s, too late, to turn it around
I’m sorry for the tears I made you cry
I guess this time it really is goodbye
You made it clear when you said
I just don’t love you no more

After securing my (and my sister Jezzy’s) own hardbound copy of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince last Monday, I began to read again during my free time. It’s been quite a while since I enjoyed reading a book and read a Harry Potter book, to be exact. The last one being HP Book 5.
I’m trying to finish this one off in about two days, since my sister will be bringing it to Baguio on Monday. I’ll be having it back when we go visit her at the end of the month. I don’t want to find myself in suspense, thinking what the ending is..
Right now, I finished just one-third. Could I finish it in time? I have to pause here to pursue my reading. ‘Til next blog entry..

Here’s my first post for this month, hehe. We went to Batangas early yesterday. My family is present and some of our relatives who hitched with us.
When we got there, we bought some "pasalubong" right away at the marketplace. Then we headed right away to my grandma’s house (mom’s side). It turned out to be my grandma’s birthday yesterday so there was a little celebration in the house.
After going to the cemetery, at lunchtime, we enjoyed the feast and sang with my cousins in the videoke machine that my uncle rented. Talk about exercise of the vocal chords..:)
Hopefully we’ll be back in Batangas on my birthday to spend the New Year also with our relatives. Until then..
Happy Birthday to my Grandma!
