New HR Policies at the Office0

Found this funny set of "HR Policies" somewhere in Multiply.. enjoy! :D Pc

To all Employees:

Effective January 2007

Dress Code:

1. It is advised that you come to work dressed according to your salary. If we see you wearing Prada shoes and carrying a Lacoste bag , we assume you are doing well financially and therefore do not need a pay raise.

2. If you dress poorly, you need to learn to manage your money better, so that you may buy nicer clothes, and therefore you do not need a pay raise.

3. If you dress just right, you are right where you need to be and therefore you do not need a pay raise.

Sick Days:

We will no longer accept a doctor’s certificate as proof of sickness.

If you are able to go to the doctor, you are able to come to work.

Holiday Days:

Each employee will receive 104 personal days a year. They are called Saturday & Sunday.

Compassionate Leave:

This is no excuse for missing work. There is nothing you can do for dead friends, relatives or co-workers. Every effort should be made to have non-employees attend to the arrangements.

In rare cases where employee involvement is necessary, the funeral should be scheduled in the late afternoon. We will be glad to allow you to work through your lunch hour and subsequently leave one hour early.

Toilet Use:

1. Entirely too much time is being spent in the toilet. There is now a strict three-minute time limit in the cubicles.

2. At the end of three minutes, an alarm will sound, the toilet paper roll will retract, the cubicle door will open, and your picture will be taken.

3. After your second offence, your picture will be posted on the company notice board under the "Chronic Offenders" category.

4. Anyone caught smiling in the picture will be sanctioned under the company’s mental health policy.

Lunch Break:

1. Skinny people get 30 minutes for lunch, as they need to eat more so that they can look healthy.

2. Normal size people get 15 minutes for lunch to get a balanced meal to maintain their average figure.

3. Chubby people get 5 minutes for lunch, because that’s all the time needed to drink a Slim-Fast.

Thank you for your loyalty to our company. Remember we are an employer of choice and we are here to provide a positive employment experience.

Therefore, all questions, comments, concerns, complaints, frustrations, irritations, aggravations, insinuations, allegations, accusations, contemplations, consternation and input should be directed elsewhere.

All Saint’s Day0

It was only today that we were able to go to the cemetery to visit the tomb of my late aunt (my mom’s sister, who died late 80’s) and my lolo (father’s side), who just passed away recently.

I can’t help but shed a few tears when we visited my lolo’s tomb. I still miss him and can’t whole-heartedly believe he’s gone already.. :’(

Whereas, the cemetery where my late aunt was buried was a bit crowded as usual. But the place is nice to look at, since flowers of different colors can be seen everywhere..

It’s nice to know that we still keep the tradition of remembering our loved ones who are no longer with us..

Just Like the First Time…0

While I’m writing this blog entry, I am watching "My Sassy Girl" for the second time on my laptop.. Reminds me of how I felt the first time I saw it.. I fell in love with it. And it’s been a while…

Just like seeing my boyfriend today. The last time we saw each other was last week. But I missed him so much even if we were not able to see each other that long… *sigh*

Anyway, back to the movie, I still love it. And my boyfriend? Same thing. You know what I mean… ;)

Eid al Fitr (Feast of Ramadhan)0

My first holiday at work.. not bad.

Even if I don’t get holiday pay for it, atleast I still get my shift premium.

It’s the Eid al Fitr. But no fasting for me today, as I indulge on my craving tonight - pizza! Thanks to Alex, my officemate, for sharing the same craving..:)

I hope our Muslim brothers were able to celebrate their tradition peacefully and solemnly..

A Public Affair0

This one’s a nice song from Jessica Simpson. The opening and background music is cute.. :)

A Public Affair
Jessica Simpson

There go the street lights - the night’s officially on,
I got the green light - to do what ever we want,
Gonna stand - outside - the box - and put the rules on hold,

Tonight
Carte blanche, first class for the evening
Ready, set, go

All the girls stepping out for a public affair
(All night, that’s right ’cause the party don’t stop)
All the cameras come out for a public affair
(Who cares, let’s rock, ’cause the party don’t stop)

Hey Baby, I see you looking over here baby
Are you gonna keep looking - or get up?
And talk to me
Here’s an opportunity that you don’t wanna miss tonight

…got plans first class for the evening

Ready. Set. Go.

All the girls stepping out for a public affair
(All night (all night), that’s right (that’s right) ’cause the party don’t stop (don’t stop, ooh))
All the cameras come out for a public affair
(Who cares (who cares), let’s rock (let’s rock), ’cause the party don’t stop (don’t stop, ooh))

Do what you wanna do, tonight the world does not exist
No, no, no, no
Move how you wanna move, all my girls work it out - like this

Give me room to shake, shake, shake

All the girls stepping out for a public affair
(All night (all night), that’s right (that’s right) ’cause the party don’t stop (don’t stop, ooh))
All the cameras come out for a public affair
(Who cares (who cares), let’s rock (let’s rock), ’cause the party don’t stop (don’t stop, ooh))

All night don’t stop,
[giggle],
Who cares, let’s rock?
Who cares, let’s rock?
All night don’t stop (don’t stop, don’t stop)
Who cares, let’s rock

Ohhh Ohhh Ohhh
Hey Baby
Ahhh ohh ohh ohh
Ahhh ohh ohh

All the girls stepping out for a public affair
(All night, that’s right cos the party don’t stop)
All the cameras come out for a public affair
(Who cares, let’s rock, cos the party don’t stop)
(Stop, stop, stop)

Fourteenth Month0

Me_and_ge_oct_8_06All your life, you’re marching to your own tune. Then one day, you’re surprised when you discover someone playing a song that meshes beautifully with yours. That’s love.. Love isn’t about giving up who you are, it’s taking up your identity and uniting it with someone else..

Happy 14th Monthsary My Angel! I Love You!:)

Paraskevidekatriaphobia (Part 2)0

It’s the second Friday the 13th this year.. Yay! :)

So far, not much bad luck has happened to me. Just a few clumsy moments. Hehe..

I guess it depends on how you handle things, regardless of what date it is, and if you believe in superstitions..

VPN1

Finally! I’m now able to connect remotely from home to the HP network. Thanks to VPN!

I had a little difficulty connecting at first. Turns out I have to be registered and given authorization to access remotely. Good thing I was able to attend to it first thing when I went to work yesterday. And after 6 hours, it’s working!

Now I can work from home.. :)

Through Good and Bad Times0

Despite a totally emotional week, I’m glad there are people around me who give support and still makes life something to smile about…081006_1232081006_1239

These pictures were taken before my lolo’s funeral earlier today.
